WashU Benefits for ALL RETIREES:                                                                

  1. 240 hours of free parking in Danforth Campus garages. Retiree Parking Permit Request | Parking & Transportation | Washington University in St. Louis (wustl.edu)
  2. Updated ID card.
  3. Access to Olin Library on Danforth Campus and Becker Medical Library on the Medical School Campus (except for proxy access) with a valid ID.
  4. On-site (but not remote) access to essentially all WUL e-resources.
  5. Borrowing privileges for local collections only (no ILL, MOBIUS; etc.). Note: Retired faculty who do not have emeritus status can petition their department for specific access approval. (Per Mimi Carter, Vice Provost, and University Librarian, January 2022)
  6. Eligible for the Dependent Child Tuition Assistance Plan if the following requirements are met: 
    1.  You must be at least 55 years old; 
    2.  You must have completed at least five years of consecutive eligible service as a faculty member or staff employee with regular scheduled weekly effort/hours of at least 20 hours per week; 
    3.  Your age plus years of service must equal 65 or greater;
    4.  You must have completed at least seven consecutive full-time years of service as a faculty member or staff employee (or the equivalent number of part-time years of service).
  7. Sumers Recreation Center membership at the current retiree membership rates.
  8. Ongoing membership to Whittemore House is available.

For EMERITI:

In addition to the above: 

  1. Retention of email address, IT support, network access, and WUSTL-purchased programs. 
  2. Full library access, including remote access to electronic databases and faculty-level borrowing privileges for physical materials.
  3. Listing in faculty directories of the university and the appropriate departmen.
  4. Receipt of all university-wide and departmental mailings.
