Society of Retired Professors and Administrators
Mission Statement 2024


The Society of Retired Professors and Administrators (SoRPA) is organized to serve and add value to the University, its retired faculty and retired administrators as defined in our bylaws by:

  1. Providing services directly.
    a. organizing social and intellectual programs that keep faculty and administrative retirees engaged with the University.
    b. assisting the transition of faculty and administrative retirees from paid appointments to informal but valuable engagement with the University.
  2. Serving as an advocate for:
    a. the continuation of structural links to the University for faculty and administrative retirees.
    b. privileges for faculty and administrative retirees, to be equally available across departments and schools of the University.
