Mission Statement 2024
The Society of Retired Professors and Administrators (SoRPA) is organized to serve and add value to the University, its emeriti, and other senior faculty and administrators as defined in our bylaws by:
- Providing services directly.
a. Providing social and intellectual programs that keep emeriti engaged with the University.
b. Assisting the transition of emeriti from paid appointments to informal but valuable engagement with the University. - Serving as an advocate for:
a. the continuation of structural links to the University for emeriti.
b. privileges for emeriti, to be equally available across departments and schools of the University.
