Abstract: The usual dialogue on nuclear power has all the objectivity of a Boehner-Pelosi debate. The Fukushima Daiichi disaster last year received worldwide attention, inflamed emotions and escalated the hyperbole of nuclear industry opponents. This talk will present basic information on nuclear power with the goal of encouraging rationale debate on the world’s energy needs and the choices to be made.
