Abstract: There are numerous opportunities for people in higher education to have a real and valuable impact on their Community—particularly through K-12 schools. Here at Washington University, we have an immense reservoir of expertise and good will, and the Institute for School Partnership (ISP) is charged with connecting these resources to St Louis-area schools. We will discuss a few of the many ISP programs by which local schools are connected to a world-class research university, teachers are inspired with new knowledge, and schools receive valued resources to enhance their effectiveness.
